Everbrite, never used it and I wonder how long it lasts.

Anybody know this boat. Nice looking hull and a chop and channel would not go amiss. https://www.trademe.co.nz/Browse/Listing.aspx?id=1683136704

50 years ago today the grocer came home from a sail.

I wonder how many of these will turn up in 2022. http://goldengloberace.com/ggr-2022/ https://www.sailfeed.com/2013/12/bernard-moitessier-what-really-happened-to-joshua/

Looks like the Imoca 60 will be the next design for the round the world race. https://www.volvooceanrace.com/en/news/12065_Agreement-will-see-IMOCA-60-boats-in-next-race.html

David Rankin quoted recently. "The ratepayers aren't in the business of having marinas, broadly speaking, so the question has to be asked - why do we need that capital tied up in them when there's so many things council needs to spend its money on Bit of convenient memory syndrome going on there David seeing you were Mayor I am not your Father John Banks wingman when we lobbbied you guys to purchase Westhaven off Ports of Auckland. Finally the penny dropped and the millions of dollars of renewable BEU leases lit the light that paved the way for a deal. For those who do not know David he is

“Who paid for that?” Empire Capital maybe. The public needs to know you need seriously deep pockets to stand up to theses guys. Media public relations spin doctors and supreme legal weight don’t come cheap.

Restoring aluminium finish - paint or powder coating?
Priscilla II replied to Neil's topic in TechTalk
Just keep it well lathered with grease and it will last for yonks. Comes in white as well. -
"I’m glad Knox-Johnston is around to see it". Still fagging away so I am sure he is bloody happy to be around as well.

This guy knows a wee bit about yacht racing too. http://goldengloberace.com/skipper/philippe-peche/ Its all horses for courses but for me Sir William Robert Patrick "Robin" Knox-Johnston ,CBE, RD and bar and the Moon landing were it as a 9 year old boy. This race is more than a 6 knot journey down memory lane it has all the factors of sailing at its best, ok no 35 knot surfs ,ever cascading waterfalls and wipeouts in a carbon boom box deep in the southern ocean but these skippers will giving it their all believe me.

SV L'escale would be one of the most used yachts in the harbour always tucked up somewhere in the Gulf. No point inviting them over for dinner however maybe lunch instead. "This was 14 years ago and now when we do our socialising on other boats it is in daylight hours only".

I wonder if the race organisers have made a error regarding no live broadcast footage. In this digital age it seems to me that the audience would be far larger if they had done so from the get go. Rustler must be happy.

Agree Chariot I like the old school format and the competitors are all not doing what I am, going to work.
-
Yup it’s all on. Fleet of 16 and only .7 of a knot in it . 24599 nm to go.

As a contractor repeat clientele are the lifeblood of the business. If you have in the past received professional quality workmanship why not show some loyalty to that service provider. Nothing nicer than having my princess pampered by someone that I have built a long standing relationship with.

Next boat going Airhead. Toilet not wife that is.

Do not think that they will be generating much loot in Okahu Bay. http://www.maoritelevision.com/news/national/boats-no-moor-okahu-bay As a young fella I used help stripping mussels of the breakwater piles with a local Maori and his kids in a Idle Along. On a good day we could get half a dozen sacks. Maybe that is why I glow in the dark?

Crikey just one minute of fuel left in the chopper, no wonder the swimmer didn't want to hang around while Doris hunted for her handbag. Four electric bilge pumps and a manual all clogged with debris how many pumps do you need. Hell of a experience. But hey they are alive and fortunately its only stuff that was lost.

If you are ever in Dublin take the time to see this yacht. https://www.rte.ie/news/2014/0725/633075-the-extraordinary-story-of-the-asgard/

Sanitry grade pipe lasts for yonks without perfuming if you just chuck a bucket of fresh water in the loo and flush it through after each trip.
-
Why on earth would you want to spend $50 on tape to wrap your pooh pipe. Painting it with anti pooh smell paint Christ it’s gotta be April. As Wheels says buy the correct product for the job.

Pimp my Rustler.

Nearly half the fleet will be Rustler 36's.
