Ok we won the cup,how many kiwis had the same attitude as me,great we won didn't watch all the preliminaries just focused on the last 2 races? How many were not really fussed about the cup something to watch. I am in " erice" camp,short lwl,with gulfs short sharp chop really does effect us smaller boats.But then thinking if you were to go offshore longer length between waves would be more comfortable,but then comes in to play rig height,not taller enough as 1/4 to 1/2 rig height is always below swell height.So no power to push through,guess all comes down to what one can afford and compromise on the trade offs.

retrieving,bit lummpy,motored forward,stopped ran forward pulled in warp,went to slip chain on to gypsy,chain slipped and at same touched button, use to be all chain but to much weight.So left 21/2 boat lenghts of chain but thimble shackle chain to warp wont go over gypsey,lewmar. never had a problem when calm or 2 onboard. teach me for sneaking out during a work day.

Chain jumped out of gypsey hand in way now 8 stitches dont lean on up button Grr funny thing didnt hurt at time as washed out with meths.

inherited a 2.3hp 4 stroke honda with the yacht, no smell but carry correct way up or get a oil drain. It has centrifugal clutch great idea but hard to control at low speeds,there is a bearing in the clutch system thats prone to getting wet from moisture I presume and its a costly exercise to replace $450 + leaky fuel tap that seems impossible to get a new one for some reason.

one thing jump from a boat in to raft in swimming type operation,but middle of the night when sh*t hits than it would be a different story, what ever happened to the days where one set off and just did it?(after clearing customs etc).
