You have me totally confused,wanting advice to put your boat on a trailer?now you want someone to sail to Gt barrier,how to heat up your boat, The best thing and probably the safest thing you could do is. Go from bow to stern and make sure is sound,have all the right gear on board,as at one stage you wanted to sail to whitianga? maybe sail around Thames until you get to know your boat before looking to go Gt Barrier. You haven't got a brother on another site known as "Pugwash' by any chance "PriceOfFish" this sounds all so familiar!

you asked this before i think?finding a step gradient ramp,what does it draw,depth?say bilge keeler 800mm height of trailer (400mm)so imo you would looking at a flat deck trailer,unhooking from vehicle so you can get the depth of at least 1.3m. when i say unhooking means lowering trailer in water with rope to vehicle to get required depth,pull boat up hook on to tow ball hoping that front is not to heavy(trailer balanced) do a ball but what are the risks that it could go pear shaped?

a couple of us sitting around the other night and we thought WAX?could it applied hot to hull,bit like womans leg wax,would it stick to hull when cold and could it be faired?so now have a plate with wax on it submersed in a place that wont get disturbed,maybe in 3 weeks time will have a look, there of course a friction factor we have not considered.

i am at panmure,hempels lasted 4 months and number 10 2yrs,with 2 quick hauls,coming out today for a week,yep shes filfy last clean off march
