I too looked at Truekit ( made in China), but ended up with a Wild Cat inflatable, almost same as Truekit, but much better price and quick / easy delivery

Sam Holmes Sailing channel
The Sailing Brothers channel
Both actually feature a lot of sailing without the T and A of other channels

I sold one for $1100 , matching your description, about 6 months ago . Now resides at Parua Bay in Whangarei, may be an idea to contact sailing club up there and see if it’s avail for purchase

Wild Cat also sell these same fridge/freezers (Brass Monkey ) , I have two ( one for camping , one for GBE), very happy with them
I know they were selling at Boat Shiw last weekend, but I got mine online

Purchased a yacht 6 summers ago, with an Excel. They are amazing , I’ve never had a moment of worry about it setting and holding tight
I’ve been converted to Excel , in fact when we changed yachts recently, it was one of the first things we bought, yes from CRA. great service and products.

Just watched the YouTube Doco on this. My first time of watching was hard for me . My good friend James Anderson was on the boat that was never found. With his Mother and her boyfriend. May they RIP 😢
He was a nice guy young James we rallied cars at same time as his family, very sad loss in the Motorsport community

Murray I had 276, at GBC . My recall says 289 was from Howick, Taylor’ family ?

Except row like a speedy thing , though we tested ours rowing them round Motukorea and back and they will get you and crew home after drinks with dry attire unlike a rubber duck.
You almost gave yourself a New Years bath , after a few (quite a few) wines ...hahaha

Yes, around 2-30pm, witnessed by a friends, Te Whatever tacked and then toppled over in a froth Of white water. Out near Motuhie Island. Spectacular and hopefully no one hurt. Righted again within a few minutes aided by chase boats , jib lowered slowly and towed away .. this was his account to me as he watched. No, it’s to April fools day ....

I have always owned in syndicates, (5 keel boats, 3 multis) for the last 30 years , and it suits my pocket well. Never been any issue with a) finding partners, b) keeping syndicate happy, c) changing boats . If I wasn't already involved in several yachts already, then I would have a crack at the R40.
Different strokes suit different folks, and Syndicates have been awesome for my family and i

Yes, forget sailing for a while, get back to earning some coin again, and enjoy your health. That will make the next sail/race/cruise/raft up, whenever that may be, feel AMAZING !
Oh, and what about Urban Cowboy for $99k ono. ? Seems to be a good boat, at a fair price. I can't , however, see my wife falling in love with a Ross 40...

Well said Southern Man , the Chill factor is bullshit , as you say , unless you are a civil servant / council worker sucking off tax payer / rate payer.
Even the idea of rowing out to moored boat or visiting a marina bound boat and checking it’s all okay would be a great tonic right now.

Would he be interested in taking a Lotus 9.2 as a trade. Bugger, i'm still short of a few bucks.
Add in our Farr 1020, GBE and Hobie 16, I think we'd be still well short. .. still need Lotto, or sell a few of my kids, hmmmmmm

I believe it refers to “Dear John…” type letter, that your wife/girlfriend writes you when they leave…
This was what explained to me by my friend who owned it 1989/90
