  1. In Wellington I have heard of someone that owns an apartment in the Clyde Quay apartments that bought a marina berth in Chaffers Marina, rented the berth out but kept the car parking pass as it was cheaper than buying an additional carpark in the apartment complex.
  2. Really? That's very interesting given someone posted in the Westhaven Boat Shed FB group (for buying, selling, and making connections with other Westhaven berth holders and crew) that they are going to be living aboard a swing mooring while studying. Now I'm not completely sure that it's a "swing" mooring in Westhaven but thought it was a bit odd if it wasn't given where the comment was posted.
  3. Is that anything to do with the new version of sailing instructions added to the website as "There were some errors in the Sailing instructions loaded to the website on Friday 13 October. " Or something different???
  4. The committee boat has current possession of the disco ball, but is likely to be the last to the party/raft up due to finishing boats.
  5. We've met up with Simon and can vouch that he's real keen to make the next RNI! Great to have another Wellington boat interested.
  6. Photos from the start of the NZ Rigging 60: http://ssanz.co.nz/photos/index.html Let me know if anyone wants higher res versions direct. Shame not to get any photos of the finish - it was too dark! Congrats to all of those that stuck it out until the breeze came in.
  7. Change of venue for briefing, same time and day Thursday 7pm but now at Richmond Yacht Club. 102 entries received.
  8. 39 boats entered now, briefing tonight at 1900 RNZYS. Hopefully we'll live stream the start on Friday night via the SSANZ Facebook page, accessed from the SSANZ website for those that don't do FB.
  9. Arbitare and Oracle still going. Vela Via finished in the early hours this morning, after taking shelter to get rid of some water and let the race management team have a few hours sleep. The Gisborne restart is under way after their unofficial 4th leg finish in Gisborne.
  10. All boats finished Leg 3 and now we are enjoying the Hawkes Bay drizzle. Restart Thursday at 3pm, just before high tide.
  11. Did the 10mt limit start with the Sydney to Hobart? That's definitely become a race where there's no point going unless you have a go fast 50 footer at a minimum, preferably 70 - 80 feet.
  12. Don't forget wearing life jackets while diving too ...
  13. Heaps of photos uploaded to the SSANZ Website: http://ssanz.co.nz/photos/index.html and a few here:
