  1. as a builder, if I were building for myself, I'd put one in on anything up to 40 feet as I build in alu I'd use twin centreline bars aft leading into one but seein' as I had a stroke, cancer and major PE and jus turned 78, I think my building days are done, I still dream of a high lats sailboat built with 8mm plating
