    The good oil.

A very timely thread as I'm about to do the annual oil change in the Volvo 2002. The oil in it is very sludgy. The previous owner was using BP visco 15w50. Yesterday I got some Shell helix 20w50 from supercheap so will try that and see how it goes. Thanks for the advice guys
  3. Recalling a well published case a few years ago firstly give 96 hours notice of arrival or it will cost thousands. Extra charge of A$288 for saturday or sunday on top of standard A$300. If you arrive during the week they just clear you the next day without extra charge. I just saw that info from a Bundaberg yacht club or something sorry didn't get the link
  4. I bought an airhead for my boat as I didn't want to go the holding tank way either.

  14. As someone used to diy house painting I have just finished painting the topsides of my 31ft yacht with Transomarine 343 2pot polyurethane. My 2 boat paint advisers didn't even mention a viscosity cup which may have made some difference. I used Wooster flawless rollers which are awesome and followed their advice, basically Be Patient for the calm warm days, only paint when humidity is less than 75%, temperature between 15 and 20 degrees c and don't paint after 2pm here in Akl NZ. From 1 metre away you can't tell it was painted with a roller. I was also told that the paint does flatten as it ha
