Hi guys I have been side tracked to the peaceful surrounds of a beautiful offgrid northland lsb so my pelagic is still feeling unwanted. It came in a box delivered to my front door. I will dig out the invoice. The arm is ss construction. It has separate waterproof compass and control boxes and looks far superior to my plastic raymarines.

Elliot749 what performance difference do you have with the kiwiprop please? My current boat has the same engine and leg as yours. I had a kiwiprop on my previous boat and found it great

According to Sail World they decided to suspend racing 6 miles west of Cape Horn to do better repairs where the mast track came unglued from the mast 5 days ago. There's a high coming so they bank on not losing too much ground to the others apparently

They picked Gita hitting the South Island 10 days out. They are very good

Youtube has a number of vids of different size yachts using them. Webb Chiles on his Moore 24 Gannet is the best known user of the Pelagic. The lead time for them has gone from 3 weeks to 6 weeks in the last 12 months. What does that tell you?

Francois is a special sailor. As I see it autopilots steer enabling him to sail the boat, keep up with repairs and routine checks of all equipment. In some of his recent blogs he makes it clear what physical and mental toll it takes to keep that machine at optimum speed. He thought he was doing really well getting more than 4 hours sleep in 24. Sorry I don't remember what site that was on.

Thanks KM. Yes there is a foot switch. I agree with you and would prefer to have a separate on/off switch. Job list +1. Thanks

I decided to take this baby off my boat, give it some love then start using it. It hasn't worked which hasn't been an issue as the anchor, chain, rope is easy to pull up by hand. What I thought would be the problem source, the solenoid I can't find anywhere. One cable goes back to the start battery, the other to the big 1,2, both switch.
Where should the solenoid go and does it matter what type please? The capstan is only for up hauling. Thanks guys

Looking great KM. How satisfying for you after all your hard work. It looks like you're on the home straight now.
