I think I saw Tiny Dancer (if built of timber) being burnt up the Mahurangi about ten years ago after being offered on Trademe free for about three months, certainly was a nice looking Harmonic if not that exact one, I assumed she had been the plug.

I witnessed a large no of people fishing in the Motukawao island HPA over New Year , How was anchoring around Port Fitzroy ??
-
No problem with autopilots for the two handed crews, though I do have an issue with all the maxi boats running engines 100% of the time.
-
I have seen similar after exhaust mixer failure caused a hydraulic -but would be most unusual in such low hours -and yes the Shibaura engines are rugged and long lasting.

The mighty rum bucket now on the rhumb line

P re your first paragraph on which group benefits from the commercial take- Iwi led organisations currently control 65% plus of all NZ quota . A fact not often understood.
-
While the commercial Snapper length is significantly smaller than the recreational, people will not respect the rules, and do Iwi have to comply with this new rule?

Le Bb is dead right Yellow Cedar and carbon go very well together , I have tested them and many other composites to destruction for some local designers years ago , and every one of us walked away amazed at how it stood up compared with very exotic laminates and foam cores

And in reply to lebleaux yes Milford requested and was turned down flat , still there is a new CEO now ....
-
Volunteers and sponsorship from Predict Wind and a few other local sponsors
-
A successful event according to the competitors with a range of conditions , the Milford club relied on volunteers and loaned RIBs but pulled it off, interestingly Yachting NZ all of 200M away had a bunch of new chase /coach boats sitting idle at their base , and not offered to help out , but that is what we have come to expect from them -after all not an Olympic class only a world champs ! For those off us paying three or four times for affiliation fees each year rather galling....

Maud was for a time moored off Beachhaven but that was 10-15 years ago

Have hardwired inside and out, however lately found a bluetooth JBL to have a way superior sound !
-
After 20 plus years on no. 5 I am looking too, it worked great in Okahu Bay ,Glendowie, Milford and Westhaven but not looking so good lately since the formula was changed. Though I have just heard that there is a new mix been released -though only time will tell ...

For anyone that may be interested the A class cat worlds are being held at the Milford Cruising Club over the next week or two, come down have a look and a civilised drink on the deck.
-
Will take a while for 2 days 20 hours to be broken by a monohull, and they went up to Pittwater first . Second boat in this evening
-
Entries to be in by the end of October, one French team maybe two Italians , no one has picked up a spade yet in Naples -ready for the boats in May 26 I dont think so. Apparently Ben and Grant have kissed and made up -but Ben doesnt have a boat?
-

Was on the hard for some time in Tauranga....
-
Good points mischief, as many of us started the coastal in smaller craft, the classic division is a mystery too with Dehler Dufour and Bavaria in there as opposed to Kiwi Kauri boats .....
-
Back to AC38 -has the secret AC partnership been signed? Has Sir Ben got access to his boat from the last event? Are there any entries ? And when is the entry deadline as they have breezed past the first deadline.... Poor Naples -have they been sold a pup.
-
And as I drove past the other day -Okahu Hardstand still largely empty, no one maintaining boats or learning how to and they have legislated good copper antifoul out -except for on ships of course!! Goodness I am getting old and cynical
