Similar to Bobs post trying to guage support for the winter racing

 

In particular increasing the number of Windward /leeward race days from 2 to 4

would suggest we didnt create a new W/L day but tacked on the back of another already scheduled day

 

we on Foiled and Excess and Charleston talked after the jack tar and the gret racing we had there and thought this would be good , the Stratis guys are also keen . it would mean a 6 harbour / 4 W/L split

 

thoughts?

I'm sure the boats that go like a bat out of hell on a reach (Tigre, Epsom, Deeds come to mind immediately) probably enjoy them quite a bit more than we do as they kick everyone's ass...

 

I'd rather race down the ditch than motor it like you have to on the way to the start of the W/L. The biggest problem I have with the W/L is the long trip before and after racing and all the shagging about before/between races as they attempt to line up the course with the wind.

 

Harbor courses may not be so great for the purists but for they are good for the most-racing-for-least-time-consumed-on-a-busy-weekend equation.

my question was aimed at the OPEN MULTIs , perhaps thats not clear enough in my initial post, my apologies

we are absolutely not seeking to inflence what the 8.5s do at all

Good point John, if the open fleet want more w/l's and they get scheduled then the 8.5's may get asked if we want to join them.
