I think the RM 1070 has a lot going for it as a potential couples cruising boat.

Yup, I know home builds are a thing of the past, but given the ridiculous price of yachts both new and second hand in this country and the limited and aged locally designed stock there could well be a rise in demand for a simplified plywood design such as this IMHO

Fast and light.

Nice sized galley.

Heaps of storage.

Crapper is nicely sited out of the saloon and galley. It is very bad feng shui to have crapper near source of food or conversation.

Twin keels version would not require a cradle.

Plywood construction.

But would have to lose all those square hull windows asap.

BP, why exactly do you not do "French" and is that girls or boats or both.

Centre boarders with attached kick up rudders I would consider to be a low design priority in this part of the world as there is definitely no water shortage out there along the coast.

Here is a new local 12m build being marketed for nearly $600K.

Compared to the RM1260 price and kit wise I certainly know where my loot would go.
