Battleship 100
If anyone knows of a berth that will be available next wednesday drop me a line. Called the westhaven office but nothing available at the moment.
ballystick 72
Have you tried Bayswater? as an option
Battleship 100
No last time I rang them (admittedly a few years ago now) they were less than friendly. I'm sure we could go on the pile moorings as a last resort. Are they still there?
johnMi 2
The weather could be quite good i think
ex TL systems 63
When and where is the start I may be around to watch
ballystick 72
The start is from the Squadron starting box across to a buoy approx at right angles to the course down the harbour. Due to start on Thursday 2nd April at 10.00 am. Look out for Vodafone who will be trying to get the race record which has eluded them so far. Anarchy will be out there, too, so how they do will be interesting.
ex TL systems 63
Outgoing tide so I guess most likely to go out the Motuihe channel?
B00B00 310
I will be on Ran Tan for this one. Looking forward to it.
ballystick 72
good to see Ran Tan out there, too, and with Booboo aboard it will be competitive. In some wind conditions boats have the choice of Rangi channel as well as Motuihe as the Rangi route avoids the wind shadow effect, it can be quite a challenge in that decision. broadoak 0
Will they be using trackers so we can follow their progress?
ballystick 72
Predictwind tracking will be used by most vessels, it made interesting viewing for the last two races. Great for the support personnel following the race.
broadoak 0
Thank you. Looking forward to it
ballystick 72
It looks like it will be light and challenging to start with, the first big decision is whether to pick the Rangi channel or Motuihe Passage going by Predictwind. That will sort the men out from the boys for a start. Here is an image from 2013.

Deep Purple 511
Vodafone just pulled out. Zana and Sundreamer's records remain for another year
Boatworks 23
Interesting that there are 2 Frenzy trackers showing, sailing slightly different courses.....but presumably on the same boat and polling at different times...
ballystick 72
It would have been interesting if one Frenzy went through Motuihe Channel and the other through Rangi. I hope the wind starts to kick in soon. Anyone know the wind at Channel Is?
ex Elly 197
According to the tracker, Force 11 is in the lead. Ahead of Anarchy and Formula One. Good going!
