Freedom GBE 27
Great. I wonder if we can have rule if the wind is below 10 knots we can fly a genaker by agreement before the start. No screechers. Not too dissimilar to the sports boats.

gonzo 0
Great. I wonder if we can have rule if the wind is below 10 knots we can fly a genaker by agreement before the start. No screechers. Not too dissimilar to the sports boats. I second this - is it feasible we could implement? Last time I saw a similar suggestion (admittedly with keelboats in mind) World War III kicked off in the forums!
Clipper 343
This is what they used to do in wellington, used to announce on vhf if extras were allowed, usually in no more than 10 knots. Was a good idea, its as dull as going downwind in a multi with no extras. But I can see the issues with bigger boats, like sundreamer or taeping - can they be arsed?
