Any photos re visitors to the village 7th & 8th March and visitor count to view the boats.   Would have thought this thread would have been loaded. Only three pages with postings.

It will be interesting the Spectator fleet numbers and photos Tues or Weds.

Vestas wind grounding investigation to be released tomorrow!  Here's whats happening at the village;



The fifth High Performance Yacht Design (HPYD5) conference begins in the Race Village on Monday 9 March. Contact Graeme Finch for further details at g.finch@auckland.ac.nz Website is www.hpyd.org.nz


On Monday 9 March, the Volvo Ocean Race will release the independent report into the stranding of Team Vestas Wind. Further details of the plan are provided on the Race press zone. 


Team Alvimedica have raised more than US$10,000 (more than NZ$13,500) for Heart Kids New Zealand from their charity auction for the Jump Seat at the Leg 5 start.


The fleet of VO65's will be craned back into the water from 18:00 hrs Sunday 8 March, weather dependant. It is expected all boats will be back in the water by Monday 9 March.


Activities and events continue in the Race Village.


Entertainment on the main stage for Monday 9 March:

Ben Ratima (12:00 - 14:00)

Ed Gaiger (17:00 - 19:00)

DJ Murry Sweetpants (19:00 - 21:00)


The activities in the Race Village include the Another Day at the Office movies, the VO65 Cross Section, kids activities, Volvo Pavilion, SCA Pavilion, and all other activities will be open daily from 09:00.
