Javelin needs to go

Summer Breeze Jav #313 needs a new home.

I started to fix her up, but life has gotten in the way, and now it's taking up much needed space in the shed.

Sailed it once, it was great, but the trailer, among other things, put me off getting it out more.

1982 Plywood built Wagstaff design, Originally a symmetric boat, it now has a windsurfer top section with stays for the prod.

Not a lot of paint left on, all the control lines are stripped off, but are all together and in good condition.

Aluminium rig, has been stored under a deck for last 4 years.

Foils are wooden and well worn (see previous owner), tiller setup has come apart in the past and I've welded it back up, not great.

Road trailer is still holding together, not registered or warranted, steel and rust, wouldn't recommend using it. Boat fits easily on top of a ute if you're that way inclined.

Launching trolley is a new aluminium A frame with wooden cradles on. Wheels are included just not on the trolley when it's on the trailer.

With time I'd have replaced the trailer, the geometry was all wrong.

Dacron Main, 2 Dacron jibs, wouldn't be surprised if they were original. Gennaker is new ish, not sure what material.

All of the above is free to a good home, as is, where is (Waitakeres near the junction of Mountain rd and Scenic Drive).

Ideally needs to in the next week, or it will end up in the garden as a veg box(es)

North Sails Kevlar Main and Jib, good condition, will get some more photos. I want $600 for the sails.

PM me if interested.

He did indeed and my16 year old was crawling over it today getting very excited

Anybody want to off-load some paint?  I'm insisting the young fella does as much of it as possible without my help.

Yep, boat is gone, just need to sell the car now....

We'll say the sails sold, I'm holding them for Dambo so his son can have them for christmas when the boat's finished.

IT, I'll make the listing payment relatively soon.

So She lives again.

I got this off dambo a couple of weeks ago after he realised after she became a garden ornament for a year that lack of spare time, enthusiasm etc etc was against him.

Coat of paint and Young mr Harken and I were off for a blast to see how good the boat was and much we could break before sorting the deck gear and cotpit.

The great news is that the boat is awesome!!

Goes like a rocket and is easy to sail fast ( much easier to keep upright than a 12 or int 14).

We hit 15's downwind and planing upwind.

The good news is that the hull seems worth restoring further and she's fast and balanced. The bad news is that she still needs alot of sorting but I'll potter along with that.

Tub thumper if you're around I'd love to get hold of the kevlar sails. Does any one here know how I can get hold of him?12376759_10153173550971581_4761650665108986938_n.jpg12370968_10153173552016581_2044427158180314958_o.jpg12360045_10153173551201581_3524770235991676683_n.jpg12341335_10153173552246581_1695768934200776930_n.jpg12341273_10153173551321581_2915942405583665637_n.jpg
