erice 732
not the flyin'hawaiin guy is it? (liquid nails and nail gun)
ScottiE 174
that really is quite sweet - I prefer the lines of the older boat but both still very functional. The Woods Banshee and the Roger Hill cat (passing wind) are similar with increading levels of complexity.
khayyam 68
$1000/ft *excluding labour*, mind you
SloopJohnB 323
Is that per hull or o/a length?
GregW 28
This is not a new design. Check http://www.boatdesign.net/forums/multihulls/csc-30-catamaran-coastal-passage-40774.html
stunnedmullet 1
Yeah it is liquid nails and nail gun - mind you he does use Wattyl wood sealer on the inside of the hulls
Black Panther 1,568
I was reading a blog by a home builder yesterday, he uses plastic nails to hold stuff together while the glue dries. Says it holds plenty tight enough then he leaves them in, planes and chisels don't notice them and it al gets glassed over later anyway. Sounded interesting. Apparently you just hammer them in like ordinary nails.
Island Time 1,211
Nah BP. Plastic nail gun. Works great, no need to remove the nails. My bro's boat was built with one. Real time saver for holding the laminated timber together while drying.
