Crew Wanted - Christchurch/Lyttelton

Recommended Posts

Come join in the fun on the water this summer at Naval Point Club in Lyttelton!

We have a great group of trailer yachts and keelers who are always on the look out for keen crew. Experience isn't always necessary, as some boats are happy to train people who are enthusiastic, committed and want to learn.

Sailing is on Wednesday nights and Saturday afternoons.

Send us through a paragraph about yourself and your sailing experience along with your contact details and we can add that to our crew list website and send around to people who we know are on the lookout. Skippers will contact you directly.

We also have a keen cruising group called the Little Ship Club of Canterbury who meet on a monthly basis with guest speakers sharing their adventures from around the world, along with lessons on how to splice ropes, putting out fires, flare demonstrations and much more.

If you want to learn to sail, we can also offer adult lessons. We have SUP, waka, ocean swimming and are always on the look out for keen rescue boat drivers as well.

Check out our websites and Facebook pages for more information, email us on littleshipclubcanterbury@gmail.com or reply to this thread.

Many thanks

Viki

Well written promo - hope it works for ya.

Two quick points -

(1) Thanks once more to you Aotearoans for your welcoming global sailing outreach.

(2) Our season here is nearly over, but tell your kids on OE (can Kiwis still afford to do it?)

to come visit us for a sail on the Sweetwater Seas - in particular Ohio's Sandusky

Sailing Club .  . We'll get them on a boat, and help them catch up with their

      laundry. Least we can do.

Wow

What a nice organisation, something that seems to be lacking up here in Auckland(from what I've seen) after trying to learn how to sail and take the next step.

I hope that people take advantage of this.
