2 of the 6 Club's boats made it to the pond yesterday, very light sailing conditions.

The club's DF656's at the Boat Show.    

The six the club brought with 75% sponsorship from the "ASB Showgrounds cost $272 and $282 delivered to individual members to get around the GST/import fees.     I just ordered one for my brother

RPNYC have 7 of them (to ensure 6 can sail at any one time) 

 

easy as to sail, apparently a bit of mucking around to get set up the first time.  they like flat water (suspect most of the small boats do, on opening day (25 ish knots on the harbour) within the confines of Clyde Quay they were nose diving a little, 

 

It looks like a single bolt to get the keel out and rig seems simple.

 

at that price its hard to go wrong...

Don't suppose anyone knows if people are sailing 10 Raters anywhere around Akl?
