SloopJohnB 323
Just watched a replay of the race, PJ just can't help himself with his praise to the Swiss. It was only the extra pressure and the right shift that kept A5 in the race on the first leg much to PJ pleasure, it would be great to see the average speed, distance sailed sailed for this leg. BMWO would have the far better figures...... now here's a thought where they just playing with A5.
SloopJohnB 323
I thought A5 was a cat but on the first leg it looked like a hobbyhorse, it was pitching about 3:2 or 2:1 times faster than BMWO. And those big slab sides where totally out of proportion, it looked like it was designed for ocean racing. I don't think ENZA or Club Med have freeboards that high.
