Fish 0
Our full insurance has just gone up a sh*t load. If you can get any insurance for less than $500, I'd pay it with a smile....
Deep Purple 511
Mine's dropped from $1200 to $1020 on $80000 cover Boat spends 6 months on its trailer in a secure trailer park and 6 months on a marina berthI’m with NZI through a broker that I have quite a lot with
Crazyhorse 47
A good deal from Nautical in Chch. 18k cover and 5mil liability to keep the yards and marinas happy. No survey, old timber keeler (1966) excess $500 and premium under $500.
Steve Pope 243
I have found Baileys very good.
DrWatson 374
Fmi ~5000 for lots of cover on a brand new boat inl. 5mil liability, racing, and living on a mooring.
philstar 61
yup we're with nautical in chc too. They're great 30k cover for a 40 year old cat ( although well kept and modified), race insurance, boat on a swing mooring, no survey required $800 odd dollars from memory. BNG 44
I'm with AON, $1100 p.a. incl GST for fixed sum insured $135k, 5 mil liability, $500 excess, on a marina, 90 year old boat, survey every 5 years. So at 0.81% of boat value/p.a. I'm fine with that.
Jon 360
Got mine yesterday, it mirrors Puffs in being down a smidgen. Not much risk to your boat in a shed on the lawn though
Fish 0
Not much risk to your boat in a shed on the lawn though Are you sure about that? I heard its been attacked with all sorts of power tools. He's even destroyed 3 or 4 galleys, fell off the stern, water-blasted with whole thing with all the hatches open, applied the wrong gloss of paint on parts of it, it even got damage in that storm when the power went out. I'd hate to think what catastrophes could happen if it got anywhere near any water...

madyottie 82
My broker said having it insured while on land cost the same as when in the water. Land has risks water doesn't and vice a versa. Yeah, AMI have the same opinion. My policy covers the boat on the lawn, in transit, on my swing mooring, and inshore waters. I do have to tell them each time I switch from lawn to mooring tho. Kevin McCready 83
Ta for responses. Hey lateral, so your mates finished stashing the drugs in the keel while you kept the cops busy. Love it. Hee hee.
