Priscilla II 376
Dear Santa I have been a very very good boy since I last wrote to you. Many gracious thanks for the upgraded solar assisted battery charging system that you so generously provided last Christmas. This year due to my unwaveringly steadfast bestest behaviour can we up the ante this Christmas to me requesting a Townson 2.4m dinghy. I have attached a picture so as to assist you and your helpers in making damned sure that you lot do not attempt to mistakingly fob me off with a Aquapro or heaven forbid a Takacat. Thanks so much XXXX

SloopJohnB 323
Why would you want to contaminate something of beauty with an ic engine???

Priscilla II 376
What are those flat things with handles? Where's the outboard? Grasshopper objects of great beauty require a brain to comprehend.
Black Panther 1,568
A nice rowing sailing dinghy is almost all that's left on my list.
Black Panther 1,568
Ok, an asymmetric kite. That's two things.
Priscilla II 376
Traditional Boat Buildind School has this Townson 2.4 original mould refurbished. Yup I know not clinker but if I was short of a project and heaven forbid me for spouting heresy a cedar strip glassed version of this little darling would be most welcome to grace my deck any day. Halsey 0
are there plans for the townson 2.4?
Priscilla II 376
The pic I posted was a old trademe listing from memory floranova? who used to build and sell them, maybe others know his details However the original plans surely must be held by Des Townsend’s family. marinheiro 352
Allan Hooper, (green shirt in the photo) owns the mould. Suggest checking with Roger Hill re the plans, he was close to Des in the later years. You will often find Allan at the NZTBS on Tuesdays http://nztbs.org.nz/contacts/
