There is water right at the end on the western (car ferry side). Also at the fuel dock. But you would probably stay out in the bay, rather than heading all the way up to Opua, right? They took the tap off to stop arse0les from turning it on a leaving it running then some 'nice' people did the same with a spanner so the whole thing has been removed.
