te hue wharf

Recommended Posts

Can anyone confirm if there's still water available at the wharf in Te Hue bay? My copy of the RAYC handbook says there is, but as it's getting a bit older I just wanted to check and see that was still the case...

For water in the Bay Of Islands, your best bet is probably Opua Wharf.  There is water right at the end on the western (car ferry side).  Also at the fuel dock.

But you would probably stay out in the bay, rather than heading all the way up to Opua, right?

Don't bother with Russell wharf. The water comes from the caravan park and is tank supply. They took the tap off to stop arse0les from turning it on a leaving it running then some 'nice' people did the same with a spanner so the whole thing has been removed. Deep Water Cove has good water stbd side as you go on from a small stream.

there was water available at Te Hue Bay 2 years ago, limit was 100 litres/day/boat.

There is supposed to be a water pipe somewhere on the eastern side of Oke Bay.

thanks, will hope it's still there!
