the only viable, audible, active Opposition at the moment appears to be David Seymour from the Act Party.

"Labour doesn't want the crisis to end. It has managed to control the narrative, the people and the polls.

[It] is desperate to avoid a return to normal politics.

That would mean having to talk about its failings."

So will this open honest and transparent Government choose to play by the election rules or not?

stop using 'emojis' and tell the poster that?

Disagree with the left leaning. From where I am sitting it seems reasonably evenly spread between the irrational far right nutjobs and the sensible well ballanced and highly rational slightly left of

Apparently you have used a lot of them.😉

David Seymour will say whatever he needs to to keep being noticed just enough to keep his cushy job.

Exactly the same style and level of authenticity as Winston.

I can't bring myself to read or listen to anything he says.

The original ACT party was Libertarain, responsibility for self, small govt etc. It then segwayed into hard right law and order BS. Now they are a bit lost. The Right to Die bill is a good example of their original libertarain views. If they de-coupled themselves from National they could possibly be a useful political party.

And yes, David Seymour is gasping for air, he needs any airtime he can get, so he will say silly things to get attention, just like Winston.

currently the polling public don't seem to see them as being the same

colmar-brunton show winston1st losing half? their support, and dropping out of parliament

and ACT doubling? theirs, to keep their seat and pick up 2 more

https://www.colmarbrunton.co.nz/what-we-do/1-news-poll/

that would seem to show a considerable public backing for seymour and the direction he sees for ACT

and a public bollocking for winstone + jones

<100 days to find out

Im sure Winston will pull something out of his hat.

It looks like act have picked up some of Winstons voters but it wont be hard to get them back.

It would be foolish to write off the cunning old bastard imo.

Same poll has a Labour/ Green coalition at 64%. Who cares about act or NZ1st?
