Fish 661
Well, the photo wasn't taken from the dinghy... I'm not sure of the logic saying you can't go boating because the Am Cup is out? Yes, a publicity stunt, but full credit to them, they are trying to keep a business afloat. What else are they to do? sit in a corner and cry?

Security increased. I agree with Valadere. I worked on Tauranga wharves in the 1980s as a contracted sparkie repairing electric pallet jacks used to load kiwifruit shipments at the time. The wharfies quickly identified that if you wedged the drive wheel into the slats of the hold, it stalled and popped the main fusable link. I wasn't allowed on board during loading activity, so everyone had to stop and vacate, I'd go on board, fit a new 75A fusable link, sign off the job, leave the ship, and the dedicated stevedores would amble back aboard for another 20 strenuous minutes of workshy loitering. Don't need logic, there is some Govt mandated authority saying exactly that. At certain times over the next few months.

I get you can't go anchor at the AC's bottom mark and go fishing while they are trying to hold an event, but to say you can't take a dinghy out to the shipping anchorage because some wide boys are fanging around the back paddock, I, how to you say? I disagree with... Bringing the AC into it is just a distraction. Guys like you are trying to run businesses, and I'm busy trying to make a contribution to your motorcycle fund - please just don't run out of any more 8 mm short link grades ay? I can't wait to see some accountability at POAL, what are the chances?
Veladare 43
From tomorrow ships will be restricted entry and departure from the harbour due to the Cup...This will continue all the way to the last race, so expect this to compound the current disruptions
Romany 83
Fish, I neither said, nor intimated u couldn't/shouldn't go boating because of Amcup boats. I commented on the wino guys showmanship, and bravado, that is all.

I can't wait to see some accountability at POAL, what are the chances? We have been told we can't use the harbour at times due to the AC. Our Vice disagrees as do a few skippers so it will be very interesting if the AC drags out as I do suspect we will see a rouge fleet just do it. I'm so keen to .... best not to go there just yet Why they need to close all the road around the bottom of Auckland is beyond most though. Also that round-about by the Ponce in Westhaven, judging by the large number of large Discovery's, Bentleys, Landcruisers, Porsche Panawankers and other rich prick rides racing around that post yesterdays sailing plus the walking muppets more concerned about watching cellph rather that whose about to mow them down, sadly I'm becoming far to confident someone is going to die there this summer. Someone said there was something for you so I got the new guy to do it. He should be OK, he is a cake baking specialist and nearly has most of his eye site back after that wee incident in Paremoremos mental health unit. Apparently he had a back reaction to a jail house meth cook-up and thought he was a Unicorn then tried to make kebabs using the arm he hacked off another prisoner and 3 Bic lighters. I admired his creativeness so gave him a job. I'm sure all will be fine, beside can't see it from my place harrytom

Fish 661
Appreciate it KM, sterling service as always. Apparently its already ready to collect, which exceeds expectations for this time of year. I just hope the guy I gave the credit card details to on the phone is actually one of your guys Back to this AC thing, I can understand restrictions on boating around the actual race area, but are they actually saying "don't use the Harbour" on particular days? I've not bothered reading anything, as I don't use that congested and washing machine like piece of harbour.
Black Panther 705
We have friends who think we should take them out to watch the racing but im honestly indifferent
