The boat reared up and made a “spectacular crash back into the Waitemata”, rolling to windward before settling.

Fortunately the boat came back down flat on its hull, there was no damage and the crew resumed training.

What I want to know, is will the organizer s make a profit?Would the AC go ahead if they knew  the world would be locked down with covid when they began organizing it?

She is a bit fresher than they like out there at present, great for all the real yachts heading to mahurangi this evening. Though predicted to ease later.

9.00ish high tide 3.2m be a decent chop by race time.

Race to Mahurangi will be interesting if the AC still out there.

For the boats that really matter i.e. mine and the ones we'll be beating in the race, we kick off at 4 off Torbay now due to the circus going on at North Head.

What are the predictions for exceeding the wind range today? Racing or no racing, or waiting for several hours then no racing?

Wind will suit us nicely in the race, which is all on and will start on time as the fleet is not as 'precious' as some other fleet. Also the chances are far higher we'll arrive pissed than they are sober.

Is there anything else I can help you with today?

What boat are you racing on, and does the Suburban Reptile feel like a jilted lover?

Not that I know, but does it resemble a bad hair cut?
