Today Tim Coltman's Team representing RPNYC won the Harken Regatta in Pittwater. this was a first for any Wellington crew.

On this side of the the Tasman the Wellington Spirit skippered by Josh junior came second in the Telecom New Zealand Match Racing Championship to Phil Robertson's Team Waka Racing. This is also the highest ever placing by a Wellington team.

Another MYC sailor, Nichola Trudgen, was trimmer in the Stephanie Hazard skippered crew that won the Australian women's match racing championships yesterday.

Since we are on this subject: Tim Coltman's crew included Michael Trudgeon also from Muritai, Hana McGuire Vic Uni Sailing Club and Matt Clough Evans Bay/Worser Bay

Josh Junior's Team also comprised crew that had dual membership with clubs other than RPNYC such as Worser Bay and Evans Bay.

Also expect to see some top results in the future from youth scheme crews representing RPNYC but who are also members of clubs such as Kapiti and Paremata. The scheme now has a large regional base and is arguably one of the top such schemes in the world. Which, as the title of this thread states, is "A good day for Wellington Sailing"
