Guest Posted December 11, 2010 Share Posted December 11, 2010 Hi One of my hardworking Barient 17 self tailers has died - it just jammed like the cam has jammed. I Have not disassembeld yet but it doesn't feel good. Can you still get kits for them? and if not what is one worth or their equivalent? These guys have spares for both Barient and Barlow - I have dealt with them a few times for Barlow parts and they have been excellent. Certainly wouldn't walk away from it without pulling it apart and seeing what's going on - it could be as simple as a worn-out spring or pawls jammed up with old grease: http://www.arco-winches.com/products/spares Somewhere I will have an electronic copy of an exploded diagram of one of the bigger winches (21, I think).
