Most people looking for a ride put up some basic information that might be useful for a skipper. Experience, positions sailed, weight etc BUT most skippers do not provide similar information. Being closer to 100 than 70kg information about a boat would be preferred in order to make an informed decision to accept the ride. Not much point in going for a sail on a boat that is weight sensitive and the skipper is really wanting a 40kg bow monkey. Boat name, size/design, in need of a trimmer/will teach you, serious racer/booze cruiser, monohull/multihull I am sure there are other things but that should start the discussion.
