Guest
ExToles I would steer clear of any rainbows FasToles What does 'Toles' mean anyway - is it the name of an old boat? Mojito - that is a personal fav. And perfect with Mt Gay Voodoo Ritual has a great ring to it Really just after something a bit snappy...... Bit like a Rolling Stones track Mojito does sit well... might socialise that a bit more....as does Voodoo ritual..... It's certainly not an easy thing to do. Toles- nickname for me- Anatole being my real name. Probably not so into doing something Cheesy by mixing my name up with the boats.....or Ross' All good thoughts coming in though KM- You have a v-a-s-t number of years on me.....That may count occasionally at the finish line....but not without a fight ;P

PaulR 3
SELOTANA Anatoles written backwards, but said thinking of sellotape and other sticky things . . . . What a wild immagination some people have. STOP that now or your likely to be arrested.

Bimini Babe 0
Not sure what the gas reference is about, but Jumpin Jack Flash is a Stones song with gas connotations!
Terry B 71
Also try websites using google search for "best rock songs of all time". Or "greatest movie heroes/heroines" Or "best pets names" even "best TV or movie titles" Or, if you're that way inclined, "best love sonnets from the middle ages" I'm still trying to find a name for mine, don't like the current one but got other things to spend money on at the moment. Besides, not sure I can find a sacrificial virgin for the naming ceremony! It's harder than naming my bl?&dy kids was!

Guest
Had a mate back in the day building a speedy Tri to beat another mates Cat, which it would have done easy as. But it never made the water. Too much drinkies, a bodgy BBQ and he burnt the whole shed down, 2 nearly finished hulls and all. It was going to be painted shades of purple and pink and called 'Pussy Licker'. But the shed was rebuilt and the next boat we built in it was a 6mt beer ballasted sportie. The girlfreinds were knot impressed with the idea we call it '69er' so the lads found a workaround and she hit the water named 'One Ate One'. A 24ft sportie I did was finished in that shed and she was called 'Disorderly Behaviour'.

Guest
Reminds me of the Ulysses motto KM "Grow old Disgracefully". That's the plan and so far it's going OK. Knot as bad name for a boat that......... as long as you're a silver or shiny top.
Guest
Just having a wee giggle before bed. Still been pondering names. It was easier to agree on a name for my son. Just randomly struck earlier that "Double rainbow" clip on you tube again. Quite funny in a hippy/geek on acid way. Not sure what that says about my humour. ANyway....back to why I was having a laugh. Originally the boat was called "Rainbow Reflection"....( no it's not going full circle) which in some ways of looking at it is a double rainbow. hmmm. Could be geek Shiek. Actually in consideration at the moment: Roots Radical Beat Merchant Blues Traveller Maybe I should put a poll out! lol. Also- Thanks Megwyn for your suggesting you sent... They added to the thought process!

Guest
Well there's a name .... "Voodoo Ritual" I've always thought the name "Squid Vicious" was quite good, but never had occasion to use it. Grinna... I think your onto a winner. After much humming and harrring - I've gone in circles for the past month trying to make a decision. So the other week I did.... Squid Vicious is it! I said I'd put a bottle up..... So whats your flavour! (pick up from the boat- prior to a race start!)!- could be bad luck if you didn't?!!!) logo ideas are now on the go......
