Serious lack of entries here. Are Urban Cowboy and Satellite Spy too scared to go up against a fully crewed Marshall Law???   :D :D :D C'mon guys!!

I know right!?!

There are bound to be some last minute entries...

It's looking very light. Bardy and Booboo, stop eating right NOW! :D

The new Norths Main is looking just excellent though!!! And what's that extra bit of sail that you have to ease the backstay to get it to tack??? :D :D :D

BTW, the Norths September 25% off deal means the owner has to go up the mast to mark the spreader patches... And apparently there's an invoice on the way for grinding him up, as Booboo reckons that pushing the winch button required considerable effort..

I think I stressed my toe as well so there could be an invoice for damages and compensation. Rum might help to ease the pain....

Looking forward to the race.

Okay, loud and clear. Just repacked and removed the rum from my bag to save weight.

Keep the rum, leave the camera...

Bardy, will there be two race reports posted soon or did I miss your Coastal post?

Just had a call from Marshall Law, approaching Channel Is, on the wind brilliant sunshine and 10kn. Says he is well placed after an excellent beat out the Motuihe Channel, suggests it might have something to do with having Booboo and some other North Sails heavyweights on board.

You didn't miss anything... I didn't end up doing a write up for the Coastal. I did a delivery back to Tauranga afterwards which took 5 days, and then three more days with my parner in Tauranga at her dad's place - so it was about 10 days later before I was sitting down at a computer... and heaps of reports and videos had already been done by then, and the creative juices were a bit stale.

I had an awesome race on Fineline with Hamish and the team. It was an epic day.

So, anyway... the White Island Race then...?

I will write something up tonight or tomorrow. And process the awesome photosI got. All I can say is that sailing with Smithy is a thoroughly MISERABLE experience. Sunshine, great food all race long, great people, lots of laughs, good music, sh*t-loads of wild life sightings, and a pretty respectable result it seems.

Miserable...
