The long-range start crew forecast (valid to midnight Wednesday 19 December) says "Isolated pockets of rum drinking in the start tower and increasingly lax attitude to precision of start timing as starting sequence (and rum drinking) progresses. Toward the end of the race, some finish times may be recorded between scattered showers of mild inebriation. The outlook for Thursday is widespread hangovers."

29 entries to date as at early this morning, if you're not on the list but think you should be, can you let David (editor@crew.org.nz) or myself (markm@racetrack.org.nz) know.

Hot Gossip, Infiltrator, Attitude, Cherry-oh, The Entertainer, Duty Free, Kimberley II, Oracle, perfect alibi, Pacquita, Moody Blue IV, Cordite, AZURE, Power Play, Cesar's Palace, pelagian 2, Flitzer 3, Boogie Flash, Team vodafone Sailing, Pork Chop, Notorious, THOR, Elliphunk, Fineline, Takahoa, Ninja, Outrageous Fortune, Hullabaloo, Icebreaker

As usual, will advise courses and times by email on Tuesday evening. People are welcome to enter Wednesday but be warned, the later you leave an entry, the less favourable your start time is likely to be. Particularly slower boats, can you at least indicate you may be there by Tuesday as once the times are notified, it's difficult to adjust times to give you a fair start if you leave it late.

Weather forecasts look promising, a bit light according to most models but fine and hopefully the sea breeze will do the honourable thing and add a bit to make sailing pleasant.
