rigger 47
There was a report several years ago that stated the container terminals could earn more money by having apartments built on them. I saw somewhere that 500 apartments are too be built in the wynyard quarter.
Deep Purple 511
I pay $440 a month for 3 sticks. Doesn't feel like a pittance to me That would depend how far the sticks are apart A 10 metre boat on a mooring occupies the same amount of seabed as I was paying $440 a WEEK for for Sundreamer on the the end of Y and I didn't have any sticks. Guest
Half the pile berths are empty and there's a very big waiting list for marina berths. Simple isn't it? There's no apartments planned and it seems like the intention is to keep the city workers from parking in "our" spots. Sound good.
Old Girl 0
Empty space on piles, could it be that like the swings they are no longer available to rent? Very likely I should think. Boats leave and are not replaced? So looks like know one wants them, but may not be the case at all. I for one would love to stay long term on piles and they must surely be the most cost effective use of space?
otto 31
Here comes less. First stage of more buildings less carparks and marina related activities. We'll now have empty offices and perhaps even a supermarket Status: CONTRACTS AWARDED FOR ARCHITECTURAL CONSULTANCY / COST MANAGEMENT SERVICES / STRUCTURAL & CIVIL ENGINEERING / BUILDING SERVICES ENGINEERING DESIGN | SKETCH PLANS IN PROGRESS | RESOURCE CONSENT APPLICATION EXPECTED TO BE SUBMITTED FOR BOTH STAGES MID JULY 2013 (Status Checked 27/05/2013 No Change) Develop platform 2 as a marina village: •Stage 1 buildings 1 & 2 •Building 1 sails loft (2000 sq m) •Ground floor offices / chandlery •Building 2 amenity building showers / toilets (100 sq m) •Stage 2 buildings 3-7 (3 storeys) •Mix of shops / offices / apartments (number not defined) •Building 3 north (600 sq m) •Building 7 north cafe (50 sq m) •Building 4 south (800 sq m) •Building 5 south (450 sq m) •Building 6 south (450 sq m) •Associated siteworks •Southern drop off / parking zone
