Yeah, it's made the boat immeasurably nicer to sail than the old baggy thing.... Didn't have any issues with it fit wise etc. -- all good.   I think I'll try tapering the top batten a bit, other tha

I paid US$495 for the sail, and was charged NZ$130 duty/GST/clearance fees.

It looks like you have a BA 22?

I've been thinking about a new main for mine, did you go loose-footed? Would you mind sending me through the sizing specifications you used for it (I'm useless with all those measurements and deciding what to include and what not to include)? Seems like it's doing the job well.

Yes, went loose footed. Much better.

Apart from that, main changes from the original I made were:

- Less roach -- for easier hoisting, and so it doesn't need reefing so early. Also because it was the default roach they quoted on, so was easier ;-)

- Deeper second reef -- the second reef on the original was very close to the first for some reason.

I'll PM you further details.

I was very happy with the main I got for my 20 ft trailer sailer. Great shape and great price. It cost about $900 landed at my door.

In saying that I have since bought 2 sails from Norths for my keeler. Probably more due to impatience than anything else.

Their lead time is 2 weeks at the moment apparently. I get the feeling they are keen for business as I've had two follow up emails in as many weeks.

I think they told me the same. Allow time for a few emails back and forward sorting the finer details and then the freighting, customs etc. Realistically I would expect 4-6 weeks.
