I'd like to see some fairness in the event, get away from the technology, our sailors had a great race today, to me it looked like our boat was well sailed, at times I didn't think the mercenary crew were as good.

 

Would be great to be able to say the cup was won by the best sailors not by a frigging boat

Last year Grant Dalton was saying that there would be no chance for development during the AC, that the boat needed to be finished before the AC began.

Plenty of events are for sailors, Olympics, one design fleets etc.

Technology is good to generate innovative boat design. But there should be a cap on how much you can spend on a campaign, to make it fair all entrants.
