  1. I'm afraid the trailer doesn't tilt. Both times we have been out there have been done waves making it really difficult. I believe the boat floats too much and gets itself out of the rollers. That's why it worked when I moved the trailer even further out of the water. I'm also afraid on putting too much pressure on the winch when the trailer is out of the water, add I feel the whole weight of the boat outside of the water is too much. Am I right? Or the winch can take a lot of load? Thanks again
  2. Hi there, I've been two times at sea with our Noelex 22, both times launched and recovered from Takapuna boat ramp. Thanksfully, both times there have been great people around able to help me getting the boat in the trailer again. The last time, the guy that helped me told me to keep the trailer as much out of the water as possible. I try not to reach the axle when both launching and retrieving. Can you give me some advise? I'll add a picture as I believe my trailer should have some extra rollers or something similar? Thanks
  3. Thank for your answers. So, it's always needed to program the radios. Isn't it possible to select the frequency using the buttons on the unit? I'm thinking in buying from China. Any thoughts in Baofeng UV-5R? Cheers
  4. Hi there, I've looking to VHF radios and would like to ask you the following, keeping in mind that will be used for emergency purposes only: Do I need an operator license? Do I need a call sign? Can you suggest an entry level model? Uniden? Baofeng? Thanks
  5. At least in my case, the windows have so many scratches on them that I prefer to get new ones. Then my question would be how to cover the holes in the fibreglass (from the inside). What kind of Sika can do the glueing job? I have Sika 291, but I guess it's a sealant and not a glue. And also, I did remove the bolts from one of the windows last weekend and then found out that the acrylic is impossible to remove, any suggestion there? Other than pushing hard from the interior Cheers
  6. Thank you both. Actually a neighbour told me the same thing about the pressure coming from important waves. Even if they don't look great he recommended to leave them as they are. I already contacted Rubber Mark, will try with Reid & Twiname at least to check what they have. In our boat there is a recess for the windows, something I didn't realize when I first posted the question here. Since there haven't been water leakages from the windows I would not touch them for now. Finally, is there a good way to remove scratches on the acrylics? Regards
  7. Hi there, I'm thinking in removing the window acrylics currently attached with screws, and put new acrylics with rubber seals. Is there anyone with previous experience on it? Any tips? Maybe I can reuse the acrylics if I can polish them or similar. I'm not even able to find a place where to buy them, I've asked many companies with no luck. This is similar to what I have: And this is similar to what I would like: Thanks
  8. Hi, thanks for your suggestion. Certainly will consider a smaller one. Not sure why I haven't received an email on your reply. Thanks
  9. Hi there, I just bought a Noelex 22 and the jockey wheel is stucked. When I rotate the lever the wheel rotates with it, seems there is lots of rust as there is no cap on top. I'm thinking in buying an extra-heavy duty jockey wheel, rated at 550kg. Is it too much? Can I go with one not so heavy duty? Thanks
