Guest
Ringer crew required for Day Sail Sat 24th July. Must be better than the old codgers that reguarly race and willing to be 'creative' with the club handicap. Enquires to the usual faces. GSS
Guest
Looks like you are going to attract the usual old codgers

Guest
For those of you who would like to join in Team Mala is a bit short and will need all the help they can get. You can contact their leader on 021 378 506. He puts on a fake Scots accent but is an otherwise OK guy. The crew list for Team Esprit is as you would expect is fully subscribed. Guest
Could you please post a link or give us more info on what Team Mala is? Cheers
Guest
Actually it is "Team MALAS" otherwise known as the Worser Bay Music and Literature Appreciation Society. This is their annual pilgrimage from the library at Worser Bay to challenge the mighty Esprit and thus gain some credibility in the sailing world. So far this has been without success. Race Start is RPNYC 12 noon Saturday and the sacred rum ceremony at C Pier at 4.00pm.
Guest
RESULT! So a very pleasant days sailing had by all. Wellington really turned it on for us after an initial Gale warning. Boat Race 1 2 3 Total X_ MALAS 1 1 2 4 Esprit..... 2 4* 1 7 3XLMALAS 3 2 3 8 2XLMALAS 4 3 4 11 *OCS Esprit (though buoyed with their ‘ringer from Miramar’) just couldn’t live with the tactical know how of Mr. X and those brave boys from MALAS X took out the regatta with two bullets and a second. MALAS 3XL performed admirably in taking out the older heavier MALAS 2XL although maybe the chip on the shoulder of 2XL added some unnecessary weight at the back of the boat. *MALAS would like to thank Esprit for their hospitality after the race and accepting the judge’s decision with good grace.
