Darren Parsons is a marine scientist at the National Institute of Water and Atmospheric Research (NIWA) in Auckland. Darren has researched snapper for the last 10 years, largely focusing on snapper movement behaviour and the recovery of snapper populations in marine reserves. This evening he will provide an overview of the natural history and ecology of snapper, the history of the snapper fishery in the Hauraki Gulf and issues currently being addressed by management of the snapper fishery.

 

Meals $20 pp for 2 course buffet
