Ponsonby Cruising Club 11 Posted November 22, 2016 Share Posted November 22, 2016 To our fellow Yachting and boating enthusiasts, Martin Robertson and I have taken on the responsibility of restoring one of the most well known and significant historical yachts ever to sail the Auckland harbour. She is the 22ft mullet boat Tamariki, built in 1934 and winner of 13 Lipton Cups along with countless other victories in her long racing career. With the 100th Lipton Cup coming up in 2021 we felt it appropriate that she be restored to her former race winning glory in time for her to join her for this coming and prestigious Auckland yacht racing event. As two professional boat builders we consider it an honour to have the opportunity to action this project and bring it to a successful conclusion.
