Guest Posted February 15, 2011 Share Posted February 15, 2011 Hi all, I have just acquired a Cresta 575 trailer yacht. Mostly for cruising but I'm keen to do some fun races just looking for advice on the best club or events to have a go. The boat is pretty slow and is not set-up with a spinnaker (NZTYA ratings are around .685). Sadly there seems to be bugger all in the way of active Trailer yacht cruising in canterbury but a lot of class racing in Noelexs and Farrs which I don't have. Don't want to race where I am not sailing alongside similarly slow boats but am aware of the limitations of owning a "class orphan" so any advice on the scene in canterbury much appreciated.
