We would like to invite you our annual New Year Regatta on 1st, 2nd & 3rd Jan which is open to all sailing dinghies, multihulls, and trailer sailers. The Clarks Beach Yacht Club is a family fun club situated on the southern shores of the Manukau Harbour twenty minutes drive from the Papakura motorway exit. The Club has excellent club buildings situated on a large end of road reserve. There are large areas for boat rigging and easy access to an all tide beach for launching. The surrounding waters provide interesting sailing conditions Check out our club and event photos here https://picasaweb.google.com/115020381639770836764 We will have registrations & racing in the afternoon on 1 January (to allow you to sleep in after your New Year celebrations!) followed by two more days of racing on 2 & 3 January. This is an ideal getaway for those families looking for a inexpensive holiday as you are welcome to camp on the Club grounds with use of club facilities for no charge, or if you would like a bit of comfort the Clarks Beach Holiday Park is next door. Looking forward to another great regatta and hope to see you at New Year. CBYC is the host of the 2012 Jollyboat Nationals so this is a good chance for sailors to experience our waters. This is a great way for the family to have a mini break with free camping on club grounds for entrants and their family. Load boat & pack up 31st Dec… or before… Party up New Year’s Eve, then you can arrive for a race about 4pm New Year’s Day!! Sun 1 Jan 2pm Registration 3pm briefing.Racing. Mon 2 Jan 10am Briefing.3 (or 4) races. Tues 3 Jan Briefing time to be advised 2 (or 3) races; Prize giving Meals 1st Jan please bring food to share for BBQ dinner. Lunches on sale 2nd & 3rd; Evening BBQ meals for sale on 2 Jan. Cash bar, and refreshments available to purchase. Accommodation: You may camp on the Yacht Club grounds, or Clarks Beach Holiday Park is adjacent to the Yacht Club. Entries: Entry Fee per yacht – Senior $60 School kids $25.
