Wouldn't hurt if you knew what they were on about Boating After 5 function - A showcase of NZ Innovation from Revolution Fibres, Thursday 30 August New Zealand nanofibre production company Revolution Fibres Ltd has developed a product called Xantu.Layr – a composite reinforcement of continuous nanofibre that enhances the performance of high performance composites. Xantu.Layr offers strength increases with virtually no weight increase, is safe, easy-to-handle and Kiwi made. Independent testing has revealed improvements in shear strength and toughness while application testing has revealed up to 100% breaking load improvement in thin wall tubing. Future developments in Xantu.Layr has the potential to re-write the composites landscape. With industrial scale production here in New Zealand, nanofibres made from carbon, ceramics and ultra-strength polymers can be made. Come along to hear more about Xantu.Layr and Revolution Fibres’ production and engineering feats at Westhaven Marina, followed by networking and refresments. Date: Thursday 30 August, 5pm Venue: NZ Marine building, 85 Westhaven Drive, Auckland For catering purposes please RSVP to caroline@bia.org.nz
