WHAT'S NEW IN THE HAURAKI GULF – Free Seminar

Friday 12th October 2012 – 7pm at Panmure Yacht & B C: ph 570 2318

Last year Anne Rimmer spoke to Auckland boating clubs about conservation in the Hauraki Gulf. Anne is a keen sailor and conservationist. Some of you may have heard her speak about Tiritiri Matangi in the past few years.

Anne will give our club a lively and fact-filled illustrated update on the Hauraki Gulf. The presentation takes approximately 45 minutes, with an opportunity for questions afterwards.

Entitled ‘What's New in the Hauraki Gulf’ this free talk is organised and funded by the Department of Conservation and Auckland Council. It is part of their Treasure Islands initiative which encourages everyone to care for the Hauraki Gulf - our unique national park of the sea.

This is an open night for anyone interested to know what is going on, and which Islands you can now land on, As like Motuhie Is groups have to have a permit from DOC as it's a Kiwi reserve

The club galley will be open for Burgers, Hot chips, etc from 1800hrs
