Right now we are on a worldtrip for about one year that has started august last year in Scandinavia and has brought us via Mongolia, Japan, Nepal to SE Asia. But we are leaving Thailand on the 21st of feb and are flying to Sydney, stay for a week and head down to Tasmania for a few weeks. Afterwards we want to visit our friends in Melbourne and leave Aussie for New Zealand around mid April. We are looking for a hike/boat/offer our hands for anyone who is looking for company or proper help on your vessel to ship/deliver/sail it to any destination around Aussie/NZ/ or further East. For example 1. From Tasmania to Aussie mainland, 2. Melbourne to Goldcoast/Brisbane, 3. Adelaide to Melbourne, 4. Aussie to NZ, 5. NZ to the Islands/Vanuatu, Fiji, Tonga or Hawaii, S or N America!!! 6. Around Tasmania, 7. or something similar . We are very open and flexibel just extremely keen on getting back on the water ). About us: Jan has sailed all his life on yachts and dinghies, like 470s, magic25, x-382, luffe 482, nordic folkeboat, etc... mostly in europe but also in NZ, when he was going to school there for a year. He has done racing and cruising and lately been on a few cruises around Scandinavia, just the two of us and had a wonderful time!!! he does not get seasick, is a very keen sailor and is home on boats . He still teaches himself playing the guitar, he is far from perfect but is enjoyable ). In terms of certificates, he is holding a SRC and a German bating license-but we think you dont learn sailing by paper ) He has also sailed to Greenlands Westcoast with Arved Fuchs, the best-known german polar explorer on his old danish lady "Dagmar Aaen"- check it out on www.arved-fuchs.de. I also worked for a sailmaker for a few months, which mean I can fix a sail just with my sheer site but might be handy here or there . Marjolein is sailing since we met, picked it up very quickly, has done some racing as well, managed rough weather and was still smiling , she loves it and is a bloody good mate on board and knows how important a good clic, understanding on board is ). She also plays the piano wonderfully and has got a very talented drawing hand ,... So if you want a sketch of your beloved boat- just ask with a smile:) she will be happy too!! We both speak English, German and Dutch fluently, plus Mars Norwrgian is bloody good, Jan is not as good, plus mar speaks french. Besides that we think we are very open, love to smile, enjoy every day and are very positive and easy. Everyone has his bad days but they are very rare ). We love the sea and the ocean and are besifes sailing fanatic kitesurfers (jan more than mar ), fancy seakayaking, any kind of watersport, as well as wintersports like iceskating, skiing, snowkiting, etc...
