bruce idoine 0 Posted March 20, 2013 Share Posted March 20, 2013 Crew members with offshore experience wanted for the passage from Auckland to Papeete via Raivavae on board Margarita. Margarita is a 13m Farrier catamaran that has cruised the South Pacific these past two years. See http://nzmargarita.wordpress.com for further information. This year she is headed to Tahiti. We will leave Auckland in the first two weeks of May 2013. First landfall will be Raivavae, one of the Austral Islands, which lies about 300 miles S of Papeete and 2000 miles ENE of Auckland. Passage time is expected to be about two weeks. After a week or so we will sail on to Papeete. Raivavae is said to resemble and also to rival the beauty of Borabora but with out the tourist hordes. We do not charge crew nor do we pay them. You will be expected to take a full share of watches, cooking etc. You also make your own arrangements beyond Papeete or Raivavae. We understand Air Tahiti flies from Raivavae to Tahiti three times a week. Interested? Then email us a brief summary of your sailing experience and other relevant information.
