This may interest some..this is our face book page. We are a very busy group running two noosa cats and a twin 90 hp RIB. in Westernport and port phillip bay. We have a new cat waiting for delivery and a new custom built 4 x 4 towing truck .

The Mornington cat is kept hitched up at our base, and can be launched in minutes. The Hastings cat is on water . We do run our boats between bays by water and land. (And in Bass Strait)

..The cats can run up to between 40 and 50 knots. They have all the bells and whistles including AIS transponders, dedicated trackers, and infared cameras ,multiple comms options, radar ,etc...

The boats are kept 24/7 fast response ready. Calls in the small hours are common. Several call outs in one day is also common.

Our skippers must have a minimum of commercial offshore coxwains tickets as well as our own training before becoming operational. This is on top of the normal traning for operational crew.

All crew can do all things, so we can swap roles and be flexible as the job unfolds. We are very much an inclusive team. This last is not a mission statement, it is a part of our own training system and simple ethos.

Authorisation for deployment is through Victoria water police, and activation is then done by dedicated pagers and mobile phone txt msg.

Most of the jobs are breakdowns, flat batteries, and "fuel contaminated by air"......however as the fb page shows , sadly not all jobs are this simple.
