Google Earth API Gone!

For those of you that use Google Earth with a charting program, like opencpn;

 

DO NOT INSTALL LATEST VERSION OF GOOGLE EARTH or Google Earth Pro!

Google has finally done it. They have removed the programming interface that allows GE2KAP and the OpenCPN GE plugin to communicate with Google earth!

So don't upgrade to the latest version. If you have already, you can get an old version from here:

I'm not sure how (or even if) this will be rectified, which is a shame, as this gave a very useful feature to some NAV programs....
