Guest
Hi trying to find a product that would bleach the staining on the deck of my wooden dinghy due to water getting under the varnish. Its mostly around the cam cleats. I've stripped off all the varnish and want to tidy it up before i re varnish. Someone suggested dettol mould and mildrew remover (which i've discovered is not available in NZ). Any one on here with some better ideas? GSS
Farrari 4
I would be interested in this too. I have some slight water stains under my varnish in the interior of my yacht due to a topside leak (since fixed). One boat builder had suggested removing the varnish, drying with a dehumidifier and then applying some Janola and revarnishing. I haven't been game enough to try.
Guest
I'm not sure about big boats, but a dehumidifier was recommended to me to dry out the dinghy before nationals... Then after speaking to people who knew better, was told that it would dry out the sealant and make it leak like a siv. Was told to use a light bulb instead.
