Guest
Sounds like he just wanted to visit Norfolk island and return. He probably accepted he would get some greif from NZ authorities on his return. The question is,how would they have treated him on Norfolk without NZ clearance? Are they tightly bound to Australia or do they have room to be reasonable? We know there is no decent anchorage at Norfolk but thats another subject.
Guest Rocket
Rescued twice before off North Cape according to the press. Boat poorly maintained and not seaworthy and him not an expert yachty (according to Herald). Had a Landrover top fitted to it? Guest
It has also emerged that Mr Waddilove had appeared in court a number of times charged with theft. The British citizen had been living on and off in New Zealand for the last 30 years, in recent years on his boat at Russell and Opua's English No need for marine laws, this guy should never have been allowed in the country.
