Guest
To set the record straight, sail queenstown operated NZL14 from october 2005 until May 2010, covering over 11,000 nm on the lake. The decision was made to cease trading due to market conditions , the global recession has hit tourism hard in this country a high kiwi dollar and numbers from target markets from europe,Uk,USA being down 30%. Sure survey was a small factor, however not the deal breaker, obviously NZL 14 is governed by SSM, so no surprise whatsoever that the boat had to come out of the water. It is a shame the boat isn't out sailing, a great asset to the lake, but thats commercial reality.
