Guest
So last night we were supposed to go racing... but it was abandoned as it was just a wee bit windy... But the Aratere was out sea-trialling - aparently they recreated the Tory channel exit manouvre's in which their engines crapped out the other day, but this time within the 'safe' confines of Wellington harbour. As noted here they had some issues, apparently unrelated to the loss of power they suffered in Cook Strait the other day. Dunno about you, but I wouldn't have wanted to be having any engine troubles even if it was in Wellington Harbour and not in Cook Strait and even with a tug standing by... Here's some footage I shot (you can up them to HD if you feel like it):
The Saint 0
Just saw them out again in the harbour, with a tug close behind. Would feel a bit safer if they tested it out of the harbour in the conditions that it would be used in.
